Shoes help you get back on your feet.

Well, it's been a long fall.  Spent time having faith in someone, who was busy spending time worrying about taking care of something else.  Oh well.  In the meantime, the half-hearted non-apology ended with a shoe compensation (note- I did accept the gift, but did not forgive, I forgave the last numerous times).  At any rate, not that it makes me feel any better, here's what I scored.

Cole Haan Air Violet Pump 90.  Gorgeous.  This should help me get back on my feet...  I also acquired the deal of the day on 6pm.com,  the Betsey Johnson Diskko.  Totally impractical, but for $29.00 regular $129.95, I thought I should have these.
Also, on my recent trip to Chicago, I had some scores.
The Enzo Mistle in Taupe.  I have these in Black, but these were like $22 at Marshall's on clearance!  I could not pass them up.
Cole Haan Air Violet, Nordy's Rack...  Because I had to be able to walk around in professional shoes?

Also, some Cole Haan boots, I mean, winter is coming, right???  Air Talia Boot in Dark Chocolate.

Also, this fall, I had a couple more acquisitions... (see, I must have been depressed).  The Coach Sue.  bf was gonna buy it for me, but they didn't have my size, so I ordered for sale online.

I love these, I just don't know where to wear them.  I wore them to one of my jobs with jeans, and a guy told me he thought they reminded him of orange construction cones.  Three women randomly complimented them, though.  Note to self, these shoes are only lady-pleasers.

I also had a BR incident during some sale when I picked up the Melana and Tonya quite cheap.  They are actually still on sale, so go online to get them.

BR Melana

BR Tonya
Finally, my last cheap find was like $10.00 at Ross.  Bandolino Great Gal. They're still $35 online, so I figured I got a great deal.

I thought these would be comfy walking shoes for day.
Anyway, that's about it for now.  Just remember, when sad, a nice pair of shoes will help you get back on your feet.  That's all for now.

I have a shoe addiction, but it's cheaper than therapy.

This is the Coach "Kasey Dream".  Absolutely pool cuteness.  $35.
So, on a recent trip to San Jose, I couldn't help but stop by Marshall's for the first time.  I know we have one here, but I was stuck at a complex, and it had a Marshall's.  What joy!  Better stuff than Ross, and like Shoe Heaven.

And here is the Lauren by Ralph Lauren sandals I also got there for $29.   Comfy, super cute, can dress up or down, and I wear them everywhere.

Finally, I got home, and I got a coupon for Haute Look for $10 off.  So I took a look.  Got some Calvin Klein Lisabeth's for under $50, and they seem to still be regular price at Nordstrom for close to $98.00.
Nice summer work shoes (because open toe).

Then, of course I happened upon River Park Square, on our way to a movie that we were late to, so we went browsing instead.  Have you ever known me to browse a shoe place and not shop?  Went to Banana Republic and fell in love with a scarf... then turned and saw the matching shoes.... then the skirt... ugh.  Shoes ended up being $53 with 10% off clearance with the purchase of a BR tote.  Good deal.

Banana Republic Jana Peep Toe Red. $53 reg $98
I totally love these.  I was having a total crap day, and then I happened upon this.  FYI, they are still $88 online.  I  am now eating mac and cheese as I can't afford to eat much else.  That is all.  Shoe addict.

I work to buy shoes.

So, last month, I bought some cheap Nine West "Pravo" shoes for $19.75.  I spotted a good deal, because they're now $50 on 6pm.com.
I wore them around Vegas, and with the shoe pads, they were actually comfortable, making it from Luxor to Mandalay and back with no problem.  A little help from "foot petals" though.

They were super cute on, too.  Bonus!  While we were in Vegas and waiting for Ms. Priscilla to buy her hat, I spotted some awesome shoes at Mandalay that would look great at a rock show.  So... lucky me, the bf bought them for me.  $18.99

Awesome.  So, then, I was at a meeting in the Valley yesterday, and I had to stop by Nordy's Rack.  I felt like I spent too much on these, but my feet hurt, and then when I looked them up, they're still over $100.  So, not bad to get for under $50...

The Coach "Serenity".  You can't really see it, but gorgeous detail chiffon flowers, with "Coach" trinkets.  yay.  Comfy and cute, with a plastic base and small heel.

Finally, at a lunch meeting today, Amanda and I stopped by Ross with a half-hour to kill.  You can imagine I had to buy some shoes.  These are super hot -  I can't wait to wear them with all black. Guess patent heels with a cork base.  Anyway, that's all for now.  Enjoy!

Shoe Juggernaut

I've been a bad girl.
Luckily, my awesome bf bought me some Coach gold Inez shoes.  Yay.  Because.... I was having a Nordy's Rack incident.
Coach Prima $109 (reg $178)

TJ Maxx BCBG Generation $15

Stuart Weitzman's $22.00 Reg around $350?  Juggernaut.

Kenneth Cole Reaction $29.90 reg $79.  For traveling.  Soft!  Get from point A to point B...

Then, I got home and my package from 6pm.com came,  Betsey Luuceyy $59.58 reg $169.95!  Now they're only $50 but hey.
Go get some.

Total Feb incident.

Meeting in valley causes problems.

So... while I was on my Nordy's rack kick...  I had to go to a meeting in the valley for a client.  Then I had to wait for my cousin to get done working... so, I went and waited at the Rack.  You know, look for some basics like nylons, maybe some winter shoes... uhhhh

The Coach "Sheri".  Lo and behold.  I realize these are like my Calvin Klein Olive shoes, but they didn't have more of those in my size (they had patent CK's very close to this).  But... they did have these.  They were Coach comfy, and have a little Coach inscription on the heel that no human will ever see.  Just what I need for my suits, right?  Uhhh.  Crap.

So then I also perused the clearance racks.  Some Badgley Mischkas for $40, from $200?  Uh yes, please?  I also have nowhere to go in these, however, for $40, I can't pass that up.  I will have to find an event to go to, just for these.  This meeting sure cost me...

Seattle ABA TIPS meeting...

Well, I've been so busy lately (Monday evening and still procrastinating, I see), however during my meeting in Seattle, I couldn't help but "need" some emergency shoes.  My go-to Enzo's started hurting on the hills of Seattle.  So... I popped into Nordy's Rack for some help.

Here we have the Coach Inez.  This was my non-sane splurge.  Apparently, it was well worth it, as I received many compliments on them, and they got me up and down the Seattle hills without wanting to die.  Apparently, these are "hottt" on.  I want to go places just to wear them now.
Nine West Rocha.  Only $29.00.  They looked good with jeans.
Practical.  Sofft Astoria's.  I was told by many ladies they looked good on.  I was going to pass on these for $39.00 (regular $99), but I thought of the Spokane snow that can't be toooo far away, and I saw rubber bottom closed toe shoes.  Have to wear something to court, right?  I am so conservative, I'm not sure about patent... but nevertheless, I got these.

I was then so poor, I went into dirty Ross to get a dress.  Bought a hot Calvin Klein black dress for $23.99, and then got the red one too, as the dressing room folks got all excited about it.  Same price... but I digress, this is not a dress blog.

Seattle Trip. Shoes, clothes, food. Funny stuff. Japanese food items.

Ok, and one more thing before I start that appellate brief... ummmm...

So this past weekend I went to Seattle for some retail therapy.  I mean a meeting.

The Coach Stefanie Heel.  Retail $188.00.  Me at Nordy's Rack, $58.43.  I wore these out Sat night.   Then, as if I didn't have enough, I went to another Nordy's Rack and found a total score:  Eileen Fisher red knot dress for $59.98.  Score again.  Retail $228.00.  No pic yet.  It'll come out, someday.
Then, scouring the racks, I found a Juicy Couture Velour shift dress on sale.  Bonus, it was even less than the clearance tag.  $10.99.  No shit.

All this shopping led to the next outing... feeding frenzy.  Kaname, in Seattle near downtown (International District) between 6th and 7th on Jackson.  Hole in the wall.  Great food, and super cheap happy hour.  See feast.

Yes, that's food for 3 of us.  $23 for me with beer, without tip.  Kaname.  Between 5-6:30 PM.  Be there.  Say hi to cousin Josh and cousin Candy.  Weirdly, they are my parents' cousins, one from each side of the family (so they're not related).  Apparently the eating gene is in full effect.  I've taken my entire Board there, and they all loved it.

I know this isn't a food blog, but during my trip, we had to kill time at Uwajimaya (Japanese grocery, also apparently owned by some distant relative, but anyway).  Speaking of strange Asian snacks, the pics speak for themselves. (The beer pic was actually at the restaurant, but hey).  ***disclaimer, you have to admit this is funny.  If not, get a sense of humor.***

Hot Mate.  Do you like
how all of the characters are all different races?  Diversity in food.  Or a Hot Mate, whichever you prefer.
I'm not going to explain how this might or might not be relevant to my night, and why my midnight snack was funny.

What is this?
That is a sumo looking
dude with a loincloth thingy.  What is the purpose of that mostly naked man on that beer can?

Why is this funny to me.  Oh, because I've now killed some more time before editing my brief and reading this research tonight.  Fun.  Procrastination at its best.

The next day's shopping led to U-Village, where we ate at the new Boom Noodle by Barnes & Noble.  It was awesome.  As Zao isn't there anymore, we had to try it out.  It rocked.  Including the lunchtime vodka drinks.  Forgot to take a pic, but "Boom" is the new code word.  Says so on the menus.  Next time I used the words "my Boom" you'll know what it means.

Incident followed at Vic Secret, Juicy Couture, Aveda, Lucky, Impress, etc. You'll see the Impress stamps later.
Juicy purse on sale $44.00 (I don't even have to tell you how far below retail that is), and Juicy scarf $20.  Lucky skirt $20.  Pure awesomeness.

Now back to that brief...

Shoes, shoes.

I was reading an article on Corporette today about comfy heels.  These are my favorite for suit attire:  Calvin Klein Olive pumps.  Picked them up @ Nordy's sale for a reasonable price.  Classy but still hot.

Speaking of comfy, people my height should not wear flats.  Period.  But... exceptions can be made.  My first pair of "real" flats that I may actually wear out in public -  I've been watching them for a long time at Nordy's rack.  Coach shoes!!!  They are super cute on.
Just got them yesterday!

Finally, to round out my shoe expedition, I picked up these Enzo's on sale @ the Rack for less than they were at the semi-annual sale this summer.  Love them in this color.  Bought them in gray this fall, but for $35, red is way cool.

That's all.  There was a lot more to the shopping expedition, but hey, this is a shoes and crafts blog, right?  Alright.  Just one more thing then, picked up a new fragrance while I was at it, to go to rocker concerts in...  Love it.  Just love it.
