To distress more or not to distress more

Tags with Distress Crayon all over, then stamp with Ranger Archival Ink or add collage paper.  I removed some ink with damp towel and stencil. Sprayed with walnut stain spray.

I got bored and then put crackle medium on the tags and let dry, then used Walnut Stain Crayon and Metallic Crayon over and buffed. The red/green tag has some transparent texture paste over stencil too, prior to the crackle medium.  Not sure which ones I like better, but these are more distressed.

Random card techniques

I used Distress Sprays and Distress Oxide Sprays on watercolor.  Just spray all over (I used cheap watercolor paper) and then spritzed with water droplets (used Distress Sprayer but you could use a dropper, etc).  Stamped Stampers Anonymous Stamps with Ranger Archival Ink.  I'll add a sentiment later.

Distress Spray background w Distress Oxide droplets of spray in Walnut Stain.  Dab walnut stain distress ink on cutouts w sponge to get to blend in. Stamp bugs in Ranger Archival Ink.  Distress Archival does not bleed, it it just called "Distress" as the colors match the Distress line.

More distress oxide spray on watercolor. Stamp in Ranger Archival Ink, use Distress Pens with water brush to color in butterfly.  Technique is scribble pen on glass palette, pick up ink with water brush.  Stampers Anonymous stamps.

Was testing ink types with Copies.  Marvy Black was ok.  Versafine is NOT ok.  Memento Luxe is NOT ok.  The best thing was copy machine the black stamped image and print with your laser printer. Did not bleed.  These were stamped in black then printed on laser printer/copy machine.  Colored in with Copics.  (His eyes to too dark on the left one).  Daubered distress ink and oxides on background, spritzed with water (Distress Sprayer for large water dots).  I'm going to stamp a sentiment or glue on on, depending on who it goes to.

It's a new crafting era...

Well, I haven't been back in a long time.  Work gets in the way.  The shoe game has been exponentially upped, but that's not why we're back.  The shoes shall be saved for another day.... like when I leave the house again.

My new "thing" is back to crafts (because what good are fancy shoes if you don't leave the house).  What a great stress relief in an otherwise busy world.

Jan is my hero!

Behind on my crafting, but a good excuse to craft was that I bought some "extras" of craft supplies, (actually duplicates on accident), and I was going to give them to Jan as a treat.  Soooo, I used my Copics, Magenta Stamp and Tsukineko "Goosebumps" to make a card...

I also had to make another card for my Godmother, so I got out the Copics again, and darkened up a prior image I had done.

Finally, I started on pieces for another card.  Not sure if it will ever get done.

At any rate, had a nice lunch with Jan, who gave me her old Cuttlebug as a present!  Jan is my hero.  I can't wait to make cards with it!!!  Also, my other hero of the week is Felicia, who send me a Stampin' Up Catalog.  She knows it's like giving crack to a crack addict.  I'm going to study it this weekend and decide what I want this year! Awesome to have great crafter friends in my life.

cards and scraps.

Had to make some cards again, so here was a baby card I sent my friend Jen.

(No, not you, Jenn, but yours looked similar didn't it!)

Then I messed around with my new stencils and pan pastels, and here's what I came up with.

I'm going to have to add something to these, but I wanted to try them out.  The above pastels are done on black pastel paper, and the one below is on white mixed media paper.

This one was hand drawn with Sofft applicators on Black Pastel paper.

spring rush

Well, it's Mother's Day soon, and also a lot of birthdays.  These cards were simple, but fun to make.  I love the new washi tapes.  Let me know what you think about the quick cards!

the fan moves too, so it will fit in the envelope!
