Weekend incident / Winning!!!

Soooo.  I had some time to kill between meetings.  I popped on down to Nordstrom, and saw there was a shoe sale!  ooh!  Saw my fav Enzo's in black patent on sale.  Wore them all weekend and they were comfy, and looked good.  My gang of boys (who see me as basically, uh, a boy) were all over it.

Simple.  I mean, I wore them with my Seven jeans, and it was like ooh, ahh.  Totally odd behavior coming from these guys.  Maybe it was the shiny patent.  Boys like shiny things.

I also bought the Calvin Klein Rajah.  I wondered about the weird ball thing on them, but the salesguy swore up and down the ball thing was not weird and they looked good.  No need to doubt.  Within a day of wearing these, I was complimented by both men and women, in the form of "ooh, nice shoes".  Weird.  I think I attract weird shoe lovers.  But hey - glad they notice!

Honestly, is the ball thing weird?  I don't know.  I guess they looked good on.  I also had sort of darker gray toenail polish on, and I do have to admit the combo was oddly attractive.

To add to the shopping expedition, I was flagged down by the fragrance lady who had not seen me in awhile.  I didn't want to admit shopping at ewww TJ Maxx and ewwww Ross, and that I last bought perfume there (Vera Wang Rock Princess), and so I claimed it was because I work north of downtown so I don't get to shop everyday.  Which is true.  Of course she made me try all of the new scents and more.  I was drawn in by the pretty bottle - Thierry Mugler SunEssence.  It's like a lighter version of Angel.

I got the Ocean edition, which I have no idea what the difference is, other than the pretty turquoise color above.  It was also a win, as my friend told me I smelled nice.  I confirmed that it was not overpowering or noticeable, and he agreed that it was just right - nice when you're close... Win.

While I was chit chatting, I noticed another shiny object that I needed.  I commented on how I really needed it.  She threw it in as a bonus, since they ran out of the perfume it came with (Michael Kors Very Hollywood).  Nice.  A new Michael Kors cosmetics case or clutch.  Winning!!!!

All in all, quite a good weekend score.

Copics part 2

Ok, so I colored in a few more (this is going slowly).  I need more colored cards to make better matches, but this will do for now.  I will add embellishments later, like ribbons, stamp words (thanks, happy birthday, etc.)  I could also layer more with other papers, etc, but I am not too good with the color wheel.  I want more copics!!!

Incident

Soo... I was working really hard today to get ready for a hearing... and all of a sudden I got stuck on shoes...

I've never tried Donald J Pliner before, but as they were 80% off retail, I couldn't help myself.

6pm.com is a major life distraction....  My friends swear these are the best.  We shall see.

Next, I found some sensible suit-type shoes.  Ya know, cause I'm working.

As these Bandolino's were 34.50, I thought I could handle that.

Then, you know, for all my river travels, some TEVA's.  Yeah.  Cause they were under $30.  In case I need to walk to the store in summer.  Yeah.  Incident.  Now, back to work.

more shoes.

So, I picked these up on the Amazon.com daily deal.  It was like $29.00 or something.  Figure I can wear them to a rock concert or something.  I wouldn't normally pick these, but hey...  I mean, they are BCBG, so if you're gonna look like a rocker type, at least do it in style???

Today, I decided that I needed more shoes.  (Do I think about this daily?  Yes.)  The find of the day on nordstrom.com (oh, free shipping today with code "shoes") and triple points if you like using your Nordy's card...

Got these Calvin Klein Cora's in black (this is gray here, but you can't see pic of black ones).  I think I will love these.  I also think I love that they were on sale at $53.90 from $108.95.

Costco Rotisserie Chicken

$4.99.  The mystery of the Costco chicken.  I would never eat the dang thing, then curiosity finally got the best of me.  I can't stop.

Alright.  I am no self-proclaimed cook.  At all.  But here is what I do with it.

Evening #1.  Pull off legs and wings.  Eat.
I then take off the skin as I'm not a big seasoning/salty fan.
I cut all the chicken off the body and save in a Gladware container.
I then take the body and boil it (then simmer) in a pot with salt for broth.  I don't add onion or carrots (well, because I don't like carrots) or pepper.  I'm going to add noodles later on, and some spices if I need to.  Basic Chicken noodle soup.  Oh, and add some of the chicken cubed up.

Day #2.  Breakfast.  Eat soup.

Lunch.  I heat up a pita.  I spread on hummus or tzaziki (can also buy at Costco), put in some chicken pieces and lettuce and eat.  You can also add tabouli (also at Costco, do you see a theme here?), cut up tomato, feta and roasted garlic pieces.

Evening #2.  Make spaghetti.  For sauce use any kind but add a cut up pepper (like orange, sweet) and chicken to sauce.

Snack #2.  Cheese and cut up chicken in a tortilla.  Make quesadilla or just roll it up, add salsa.

Day #3.  More soup.

Lunch - put chicken in tortilla/wrap with feta, romaine, tabouli, any other ingredients you have laying around.  I actually dip in habanero salsa, but that's just my deal.  You can make either mexican with cheddar/jack and salsa, or mediterranean like yesterday, or whatever.

Dinner/snack.  Shred the rest and make chicken nachos!  All done!

I am just simple about this, as there are tons of recipes on the internet, but as I'm not a cook, it has to be fast and simple, or I'm not doing it.  Just wanted to share what I'm up to when not crafting/gaming/working.
