Shoes help you get back on your feet.

Well, it's been a long fall.  Spent time having faith in someone, who was busy spending time worrying about taking care of something else.  Oh well.  In the meantime, the half-hearted non-apology ended with a shoe compensation (note- I did accept the gift, but did not forgive, I forgave the last numerous times).  At any rate, not that it makes me feel any better, here's what I scored.

Cole Haan Air Violet Pump 90.  Gorgeous.  This should help me get back on my feet...  I also acquired the deal of the day on 6pm.com,  the Betsey Johnson Diskko.  Totally impractical, but for $29.00 regular $129.95, I thought I should have these.
Also, on my recent trip to Chicago, I had some scores.
The Enzo Mistle in Taupe.  I have these in Black, but these were like $22 at Marshall's on clearance!  I could not pass them up.
Cole Haan Air Violet, Nordy's Rack...  Because I had to be able to walk around in professional shoes?

Also, some Cole Haan boots, I mean, winter is coming, right???  Air Talia Boot in Dark Chocolate.

Also, this fall, I had a couple more acquisitions... (see, I must have been depressed).  The Coach Sue.  bf was gonna buy it for me, but they didn't have my size, so I ordered for sale online.

I love these, I just don't know where to wear them.  I wore them to one of my jobs with jeans, and a guy told me he thought they reminded him of orange construction cones.  Three women randomly complimented them, though.  Note to self, these shoes are only lady-pleasers.

I also had a BR incident during some sale when I picked up the Melana and Tonya quite cheap.  They are actually still on sale, so go online to get them.

BR Melana

BR Tonya
Finally, my last cheap find was like $10.00 at Ross.  Bandolino Great Gal. They're still $35 online, so I figured I got a great deal.

I thought these would be comfy walking shoes for day.
Anyway, that's about it for now.  Just remember, when sad, a nice pair of shoes will help you get back on your feet.  That's all for now.

B-day!

So, I was on a shoe buying moratorium as I've been having to spend my money on work travel (ok, maybe a write-off, but you still need to pay for it somehow, right?)  Then, my prayers were answered.  Paul gave me a DSW certificate for my bday!  So I got these Sofft Rieta's for about $7.00 as I had a coupon too.  (Regular $107.95) Yesss.

Classy work shoes, court appropriate.  They look even hotter on, trust me.  I had a great b-day.  After my Chicago trip to see my ABA friends, I just had a casual throw down at the PI.  Got some cool gifties from my friends, plus the BL was free-flowing.  Shout out to my PI bartenders Chris and Tami for hooking me up too!  Currently drinking out of my Starbucks double-walled mug from Dev.  Gotta get on that card making now.  My thank-you cards are overdue!!!

Shoes and stuff.

Someone at my new job told me I have the coolest shoes.  She is correct (thanks for noticing).

I didn't wear these in public yet, but I am going to soon!  Enzo "Mistle" shoes.  BF bought them for me (at my urging) and they were a special Nordy's Rack find for about $30. Yay for me.

Also, these were the shoes I wore a couple days ago at work that my buddy claimed I was dressed up.  I didn't think these were really professional, but it was over 90 degrees, and my feet hurt, so I wore low heels.

Cole Haan Eliana.  Also Nordy's Rack.
These are more in the "comfort" arena than "hot", but  I guess I can wear these at meetings if I need to get from point A to point B.  I think I bought them last year before Georgia, and I swear the first time I wore them they hurt like heck.  But they are comfy now.  I guess that's a Cole Haan thing. Break them in painfully, and then they're like slippers.

Next, I resurrected some older Cole Haan's I got at Nordy's Rack a long time ago, but can't figure out what to wear them with.  Since jeans seem to be legit at this office, maybe I will try this with nice jeans.  The Carma Slingback Mary Jane.  They are actually more red than the pic, I think.

I think I can wear these with something.

Finally, I bought some "fun" shoes, that probably won't leave the house much.  BF wanted to buy them, but I wanted him to get the ones I'd wear more often.  These are from Nordy's Rack, Betsey Johnson, a steal at $24. I think they are a bit "fetishy"... but hey.  I can wear to a show that I don't plan to stand at.  At all.

So, that's all for now.  Hope you liked the "shoe porn".

Quick Project

So, I dug this stamp out of an ancient box. It is a PSX stamp I picked up somewhere.  I thought it would be great with Copics, so I tried it out.

Here's the 5 minute result!

Working.

So, I had to go downtown for a meeting, and of course, I "happened" to park at River Park Square.  Of course I needed my parking validated, so I popped into Banana Republic with my coupon.

Lo and behold, the BR "Natasha", for $22.97, but $10 off with my coupon...

Gorgeous. I will have to wait until fall to wear them (crushed velvet), but gorgeous.

Cole Haan... travel shoes.

There is always a reason for new shoes. These were allegedly purchased to go on my ABA trips as they are heels, but not 4 inch ones. Really, it was because I've worked the last two weekends at meetings. Sooo. Cole Haan Nike air Lainey open toe shoes from Nordy's Rack. Yesss.

Jan is my hero!

Behind on my crafting, but a good excuse to craft was that I bought some "extras" of craft supplies, (actually duplicates on accident), and I was going to give them to Jan as a treat.  Soooo, I used my Copics, Magenta Stamp and Tsukineko "Goosebumps" to make a card...

I also had to make another card for my Godmother, so I got out the Copics again, and darkened up a prior image I had done.

Finally, I started on pieces for another card.  Not sure if it will ever get done.

At any rate, had a nice lunch with Jan, who gave me her old Cuttlebug as a present!  Jan is my hero.  I can't wait to make cards with it!!!  Also, my other hero of the week is Felicia, who send me a Stampin' Up Catalog.  She knows it's like giving crack to a crack addict.  I'm going to study it this weekend and decide what I want this year! Awesome to have great crafter friends in my life.

I have a shoe addiction, but it's cheaper than therapy.

This is the Coach "Kasey Dream".  Absolutely pool cuteness.  $35.
So, on a recent trip to San Jose, I couldn't help but stop by Marshall's for the first time.  I know we have one here, but I was stuck at a complex, and it had a Marshall's.  What joy!  Better stuff than Ross, and like Shoe Heaven.

And here is the Lauren by Ralph Lauren sandals I also got there for $29.   Comfy, super cute, can dress up or down, and I wear them everywhere.

Finally, I got home, and I got a coupon for Haute Look for $10 off.  So I took a look.  Got some Calvin Klein Lisabeth's for under $50, and they seem to still be regular price at Nordstrom for close to $98.00.
Nice summer work shoes (because open toe).

Then, of course I happened upon River Park Square, on our way to a movie that we were late to, so we went browsing instead.  Have you ever known me to browse a shoe place and not shop?  Went to Banana Republic and fell in love with a scarf... then turned and saw the matching shoes.... then the skirt... ugh.  Shoes ended up being $53 with 10% off clearance with the purchase of a BR tote.  Good deal.

Banana Republic Jana Peep Toe Red. $53 reg $98
I totally love these.  I was having a total crap day, and then I happened upon this.  FYI, they are still $88 online.  I  am now eating mac and cheese as I can't afford to eat much else.  That is all.  Shoe addict.

cards and scraps.

Had to make some cards again, so here was a baby card I sent my friend Jen.

(No, not you, Jenn, but yours looked similar didn't it!)

Then I messed around with my new stencils and pan pastels, and here's what I came up with.

I'm going to have to add something to these, but I wanted to try them out.  The above pastels are done on black pastel paper, and the one below is on white mixed media paper.

This one was hand drawn with Sofft applicators on Black Pastel paper.

spring rush

Well, it's Mother's Day soon, and also a lot of birthdays.  These cards were simple, but fun to make.  I love the new washi tapes.  Let me know what you think about the quick cards!

the fan moves too, so it will fit in the envelope!

Rack Zombies

So, the new Nordy's Rack in Seattle is like a madhouse.  BF calls it a zombie house, where people walk around half-dead looking for shoes, etc.  Whatevs.  In my .4 I was allowed to spend there, I managed to pick up some Donald J Pliner "Vajib"'s for around $59 (Regular $245).  Good deal.  Comfy.

Rain rain, go away. So I can wear my suede shoes.

Ok.  So DSW sent me a $10 off coupon, and it was raining, and I was worried I'd ruin my suede Enzo's, so I went to DSW at lunch.  Lo and behold, more inappropriate rain shoes, but gorgeous!  The Ralph Lauren suede "Zamora" in Smoke.

They ended up being about $35, which is cool, because online the cheapest sale price appeared to be $69.

So I thought I should get another pair.  Madden Girl, Lyons.  Under $30, which is good, because I don't like to pay too much for Madden Girl shoes.  I thought these were retro-cool, though, for partying.  Maybe I could wear these with my Betsey black dress, ya know?

So then I went to Costco, and I saw some flats that I thought would be good for travel.  I remember them being marked down at Costco from $50, and now they were around $20.  Bingo!  Score, because online at Endless.com they are still $79.  Me Too, "Legend 2"
Flats, yes, not my thing, but cute for flats!  Good deal.  Yeah.  More shoes.
